Executive Committee
Past Presidents of the SocietyPast presidents continue to serve the Society in several capacities, including remaining on the executive committee for two years and then chairing the nominating committee. Check the list of the Society's past presidents. TenureThe Society's year begins and ends with the annual conference, which is almost always during June. The President's term is one year. Elected Executive Committee members serve rotating three-year terms. The JHET editor and Electronic Information Services manager serve renewable five year terms. The Society's constitution provides other detail. Nominating CommitteeThe Nominating Committee of the Society is composed of the Past President who has just left the Executive Committee (who is Chair) and two other members appointed by the President. The committee for 2007-2008 consists of Mary Morgan (Chair). Peter Boettke and Sherry Kasper. The deadline for nominations for Society committees is October 31, in preparation for presentation to the Executive Committee at its winter meeting in January. |
